Antique 19th Century French Louis XIV Ornate Gilded Bronze 3 Arm Candle Holder Sconce Fleurs Lys. This was estimated to be created between in the mid 1800’s. This is a large candlestick holder wall sconce measuring approx 13.5” in height by 11” wide and 6.25” depth off the wall. This wall sconce with three candlestick holders is finely chiseled in gilded bronze, with royalist decoration of the profile portrait of King Louis XIV and his wife Marie Therese of Austria. Also depicted is a medallion with the Arms of France (3 lily flowers or Fleur-de-lis) surrounded by trophies, standards and warrior attributes, as well as cherub putti heads and foliage. This has not been restored or altered using metal polishing agents. The back shows its age but this is one heavy sturdy piece.
